Shippr is hiring team lead to handle the daily delivery of newspapers in the Rijkevorsel/Hoogstraten/Beerse area. This mission is part of a brand new project at the core of our operations, aimed at distributing daily newspapers to all Belgian subscribers. Without you, Belgium would be deprived of its morning news!
What are your responsibilities as a Team Lead?
As the true conductor of our teams, you’ll be responsible for the preparation and organization of the delivery routes. The first to arrive at the depot, you’ll ensure that the day's routes are ready before your team of delivery workers arrives (printing route sheets, sorting newspapers, and organizing by route).
As the guarantor of daily quality, you will supervise the delivery drivers before each round. You’ll make sure they are punctual and all present, brief them every morning, and hand them the newspapers for their routes. You’ll also ensure that everyone is well-equipped to carry out their tasks efficiently.
As the main point of contact with HQ, you’ll communicate regularly with the management team to ensure smooth operations, report any difficulties (delays, absences, equipment problems), and suggest optimizations to improve the delivery process.
As a key player in the success of the mission, you’ll check that everything is in place for the day (route sheets, GPS, newspapers, etc.), ensuring a smooth delivery process.
Secondary tasks?
In addition to your responsibilities as Team Lead, you’ll also participate in delivering newspapers as a delivery worker.
You’ll follow an optimized route to deliver more than a hundred newspapers faster than your shadow.
Quick but thorough, you’ll ensure the proper distribution so that Mrs. X receives her daily paper on time.
What are the working hours?
5 days per week contract, Monday to Saturday (depending on your route schedule).
From 4:45 AM to 8:30 AM, Monday to Friday, and from 5:15 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday. During the initial period, your shift may take an extra hour. After a few weeks, you will become more familiar with your area and be able to work more efficiently.

What are the requirements?
A natural leader, you have some experience in team management, or you have an innate ability to organize and contribute to the success of a team.
You are punctual, reliable, and able to work independently while supervising a team.
You can anticipate and solve problems quickly.
You’re a true early bird: working early in the morning doesn’t scare you (congratulations, the future belongs to those who rise early!).
You have a valid driver’s license and your own car.
Familiarity with the delivery sector is a plus but not mandatory.
You are fluent in at least one of the following languages: Dutch, French, and/or English.
You are available immediately.

A competitive salary: €14,7680 gross per hour + ARAB allowance of €1.7835 per hour + mobility allowance of €0.4269 per km.

BONUS for the first 2 weeks: €50 per day, and €100 per day on Saturdays, paid if you are on time, can handle chaos well, and complete your route within the given time.
